Thomas Eddy Landscape Consulting Services, or TELCS, began in 1997 as a landscape design/build one man show operating in the Sonoma Wine Country.  My clients were and are wonderful people, individually and collectively.  Together, we evolved garden designs to realize their dreams, gardens with specific themes: Mediterranean, kitchen, meditation, personal spa, gathering, tasting, native, Japanese inspired, play, swim, and joyful work if one can imagine.  So many of my clients have become friends that I still cherish today.

Currently, I have both day and evening jobs.  By day I work for a major California city as a Structures and Landscape Designer II, reviewing plans by developers, design improvements within the public rights of way, and advance the benefits of good maintenance with a focus on resiliency and green stormwater infrastructure.  By night, I am an associate professor at our community college teaching landscape architecture subjects.  This website is part hobby, part sorting process to ease the clutter in my brain, and part observations about all things landscape.  More simply, it is how I view the world.

The landscape for most people is subjective, yet our influence and impact on the great outdoors is at times inspired, at others detrimental.  For a solitary goal, I hope to shed new light onto the landscape so it is seen for what it is, sublime and dynamic, providing we care for its well being.
